ACCOUNTABILITY

When designating a Rainbow Space, Wood Buffalo Pride remains accountable to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community that we serve and advocate for. We fundamentally believe that allyship is not a title, but consistent, intentional action and accountability. We also understand that in becoming a Rainbow Space, each organization will be in a process of learning and growth following our training, and that process may include mistakes. Should we receive a complaint from the community about a Rainbow Space, we will be in contact to work with the organization to understand the situation, arrive at a resolution, repair harm, and re-train as necessary.

INCLUSIVITY WORKSHOPS

Wood Buffalo Pride’s workshops were created to provide awareness and education for individuals, organizations, and businesses seeking to become more informed and inclusive allies. Our workshops provide information on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, best practices for inclusivity and accessibility, and empowers allies with both empathy and strategies for concrete actions in allyship.

Our workshops can be tailored toward nonprofit organizations, businesses, or schools, depending on your needs. Our workshops can be delivered in person or  virtually via Zoom.

Time for discussion and Q&A is built into all of our workshops.

Please note that we do not schedule workshops between May 13 - June 30, 2025, as our staff and board will be busy with Pride Month (June 1-30). We appreciate your understanding.
