Important Note: Funding for this position requires that the successful applicant is enrolled in post secondary school.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Summer Student – Communications Coordinator to support our team throughout the summer. This role will involve planning, developing and executing communications content across platforms, supporting community outreach, and helping enhance our brand and message to diverse audiences.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Two Spirit Coordinator is responsible for leading the engagement, program development, and delivery in rural, Indigenous communities in Wood Buffalo, Treaty 8. This position will represent Wood Buffalo Pride in Indigenous communities throughout Wood Buffalo and will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with the local Indigenous communities and Two Spirit People. The Coordinator is responsible to uplift, promote and raise awareness surrounding Two Spirit Identities. They are responsible for bringing community driven programs to the rural communities.

Wood Buffalo Pride is seeking an organized, creative, and community-driven Community Outreach Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of our Qmmunity Connections Program, assisting with planning the annual Pride Festival and lead our Member Engagement, through our Advisory Groups and Volunteer Coordination.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about event planning, community collaboration, uplifting marginalized identities, and creating safer, inclusive spaces for everyone to celebrate Pride.

The deadline to apply for the Wood Buffalo Pride Board of Directors has closed for the 2026 AGM. Members may still submit an application at anytime, and will be considered for an interim position if a vacancy becomes available.
