Wood Buffalo Pride Rainbow Space Level 2 Certification
About
Rainbow Space Certification: Level 2 is a credential for individuals in the RMWB to highlight their intentional commitment to 2SLGBTQIA+-inclusivity and allyship within their professional and personal life. This certification program prepares individual community members and professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to be inclusive leaders and advocates for equity within their workplace and/or community roles. This certification is an excellent resource for individuals seeking professional development, continuing education credentials, and tangible allyship goals.
Rainbow Space Level 2 certification is an independent, individual certification program for professionals and community members who are seeking to become identified as Rainbow Spaces even if their overarching organization or workplace is not Rainbow Space certified.
rECOGNITION & Support
Upon successful completion of the Rainbow Space Level 2 Certification, you will receive:
- A personalized Rainbow Space Certificate - valid for three years
- A Rainbow Space Certified vinyl sticker decal for your physical space
- A digital Rainbow Space Certified badge for your website/social media/email signature
- A Wood Buffalo Pride Rainbow Space Certified pin for your uniform, lanyard, etc.
- Listing in our Rainbow Space Certified Directory on the Wood Buffalo Pride website
Ongoing Support
Our support doesn't end after you are certified. We are here for our Rainbow Space individuals as a resource for the entirety of your three-year certification term! If you encounter a situation you need support or guidance with, we are here to help. This could be a new employee, client, colleague, or student who is part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who you're not sure how to support, changes you are advocating for, programs or events you would like to host, or any other relevant questions or issues.
Ongoing support also includes membership in a monthly Rainbow Space Roundtable facilitated by our Wood Buffalo Pride Programs Coordinator. This is an optional monthly meeting for all of our Rainbow Space organizations and individuals to gather together for networking, sharing, and questions.

Individuals must complete our 4-hour Rainbow Space Level 2 Certification Workshop. Our Rainbow Space Level 2 Certification Workshops are offered quarterly, at no additional cost. Assessment
Inclusivity Training
Individuals must complete an assessment of the knowledge and skills covered within our Rainbow Space Level 2 workshop.
