Wood Buffalo Pride offers multiple peer-led support groups: Two support groups for transgender, gender fluid, nonbinary, or questioning folks at any stage of their journey (one for adults and one for youth), Supporting Heart group for caregivers of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and the Two Spirit and Indigiqueer group for Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. Groups are facilitated by staff with lived experience, and based on a peer support model. These groups are not meant as a replacement for therapy.
Please read our community agreements prior to attending any of our peer support groups. These community agreements are in place to ensure that we can provide a respectful, safe and brave space for all participants.

When: First Thursday and third Sunday of the month
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Starting in October 2026, the Adult Trans Peer Support Group will include an additional Clinical Support session, facilitated by Teila Rowsell (BSW, RSW).
When: First Thursday and third Sunday of the month
Adult clinical: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Adult social: 7:30 - 8:30 PM
You are welcome to attend both the clinical and social support sessions, or choose the one that best suits you.
When: Second Friday of the month
Time: 9:00 - 10:00 PM

Supporting Hearts is a welcoming, drop-in peer support group for all 2SLGBTQIA+ caregivers and caregivers of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. Caregiver is a term inclusive of parents, friends, family members and partners. These groups are not meant as a replacement for therapy. Groups are facilitated by staff with lived experience, and based on a peer support model.
