INREACH

WOOD BUFFALO PRIDE'S DIRECT SUPPORT SERVICE

What is InReach?

We work with our clients, community members, and local resources to build connections, nurture relationships, and offer personalized referrals that cater to the unique needs of our 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Why would someone need this service?

Often, someone might feel stuck, confused, directionless, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unsupported as they address their goals in every day life. With the variety of complexities in life, 2SLGBTQIA+ people face additional barriers due to discrimination or lack of support. This program aims to help ease that burden!

What is case management?

We provide ongoing support to those who need it. The support is determined by ongoing assessments of the client’s need. The client decides what they want assistance with, and what referrals or solutions to act on at their discretion. We want to be there for support, and offer tools for success.

What does the process look like?

We set up a series of appointments with our client, assess their needs, create a plan with the client, and connect them with local resources. Our process is client-centered. Our program is looking to empower our clients, preserve their autonomy, and give them the tools to improve their quality of life.

Who is InReach for?

InReach is for any member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the region of Wood Buffalo. Including commuters/people who live in camps, and the surrounding rural areas.

*Minors under 16 can access InReach services with the consent of their parents/guardians. The intake process will need to include a parent/guardian

What does it cost?

There is absolutely no fee or cost associated with this service. Wood Buffalo Pride is a non-profit organization.
