Wood Buffalo Pride conducted this community needs assessment to better understand the lived experiences, priorities, and service gaps affecting 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals across Alberta, with a focus on the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Findings reflect both regional realities and broader provincial trends impacting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Based on data from the 2021 Census, this article uses age-standardized statistics to provide an analysis of the socioeconomic characteristics of the gender diverse population, that is, transgender and non-binary people in Canada. It includes an examination of poverty rates and earnings among transgender men, transgender women and non-binary people, with comparisons drawn primarily with cisgender men, as well as with cisgender women.

Report on the Second National Climate Survey on Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia in Canadian Schools, conducted in partnership with researchers from the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba. Through the second climate survey, we heard from over 4,000 students in Grades 8-12 across Canada about their experiences with homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, harassment, mental health and sense of safety, and support at school.
