For our 10th anniversary, we’re serving 10s across the board, because excellence deserves to be scored accordingly!

A Decade of Pride: Tens Across the Board pays homage to queer ballroom culture. Ballroom has long been a vital safe haven created by and for Black and Brown queer and trans people. A place to survive, to shine, to find family, and to be celebrated in a world that too often denied all of the above.

More than glamour and competition, ballroom is resistance. It’s chosen family, radical self-expression, and a powerful force in the queer liberation movement; challenging racism, transphobia, homophobia, and exclusion while centring joy, creativity, and community care.

Ten years of Wood Buffalo Pride means ten years of showing up, lifting each other up, and making space for every part of our community. This year, we honour that legacy—and trust us, the category is Pride, and it’s a perfect 10. inclusive and accepting of all people.
